EMMANUEL MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO ST. JOE'S

STANDISH, ME - The Emmanuel Men's Soccer Team fell to Saint Joseph's College, 4-1, on Saturday in Maine. The Saints picked up their 4th straight loss, while the Monks extended their unbeaten streak to six games. The Saints are now 3-6-1 overall and 1-2 in GNAC play. The Monks improved to 5-3-2 on the season and 2-1-1 in the conference.
For the Saints, junior Michael Evans (Yarmouth, ME) registered the lone goal with an assist from freshman Ivan Barrera (Millis, MA). For St. Joe's, junior Doug MaCallum (Hingham, MA) led the charge with a goal and an assist in the triumph. Classmate Andre Cushing (Hampden, ME) added two assists while sophomore Paul Robbins (Cornwall, England), freshman Michael Sanfilippo (Walpole, MA) and sophomore Brandon Noltkamper (Bath, ME) each tallied a goal for the Monks.
Emmanuel will return to action on Wednesday afternoon in a home GNAC meeting with Lasell College at 3pm. Saint Joseph's will play back-to-back games, hosting Maine Maritime Academy in a non-conference match on Sunday afternoon.
