How It Happened
Emmanuel broke the 0-0 stalemate 34:02 into the first frame. Sophomore Alec Erskine (Coventry, Conn.) converted on an awarded penalty kick, lacing the shot past Falcons' netminder junior Sebastian Jaramillo (Dracut, Mass.) for the 1-0 advantage.
Following the break, the Saints doubled their margin (2-0) at 57:35 when Erskine knotted his second goal of the game off a crisp cross from the right wing by classmate Kyle King (Gorham, ME).
Inside the Numbers
This evenings contest marks the first ever meeting between the two teams on the pitch.
Emmanuel held an 11-9 advantage in shots, while each team had 2 corner kicks.
Freshman Alexander Loyd (Kingston, Mass.) finished with team-best three shots in the contest for Fitchburg.
In goal, senior Jonathan Ferrarini (Hanover, Mass.) made four saves for the Saints in the complete game effort.

Falcons will travel to Becker College on Saturday to take on the Hawks for a non-conference matchup starting at 12:00 PM. Saints will hosts the Bears of Bridgewater State on the same date for a non-conference tilt for a 3:00 PM start.
