BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College sophomore Jonathan Ferrarini (Hanover, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for the second straight week.
BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College sophomore Jonathan Ferrarini (Hanover, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for the second straight week. Ferrarini's weekly conference honor comes after posting his third shut out of the season. On the week, he allowed just one goal over 200 minutes of this past week to post a 0.45 goals against average, stopping 17 of the 18 shots he faced for a .944 save percentage.
The sophomore received the GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week honor the week of September 25 when Ferrarini went 1-0-1 including a tie on the road against Norwich. Ferrarini stopped 22 of 23 shots for a .957 save percentage on the week. The keeper stopped six of seven shots in a 3-1 over Lasell, before turning away all 16 shots in a 0-0 draw with the Cadets.
