BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College senior forward Colin O"Donnell (Killingworth, Conn.) has been named the Corvias Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week, it was announced Monday afternoon by the conference office. This marks the second time this year O'Donnell has been honored by the conference earning Weekly Honor Roll status back on September 6.
O'Donnell continued his stellar last week for Emmanuel recording nine points on four goals and one assist in a 2-0 week for EC. He got the week started with a two-goal outing in a 3-1 victory over Lasell College to lift the Saints to a much-needed conference victory and then followed it up with a huge five-point afternoon in a 3-0 win over Anna Maria College, scoring the game's first two goals before assisting on the final tally.
Through 14 games, the senior has put together one of the most prolific offensive campaigns in EC program history. He currently ranks second in the GNAC with both points (23) and goals (10) and is just one goal shy of tying the single-season Emmanuel record for goals scored at 11 with four regular season contests remaining.
The Saints are currently 5-7-2 on the year and 2-3-1 in GNAC play heading into the final leg the 2016 campaign. They return to action on Wednesday, October 12 when they host Lesley University at 7:00 PM in non-conference action at Roberto Clemente Field.
