FIELD NAMED TO ECAC NEW ENGLAND ALL-STAR TEAM
DANBURY, Conn. – Senior David Field (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) has been named to the 2015 ECAC Men's Soccer Division III New England All-Star team, it was announced by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference office today. This marks the first time in Emmanuel College men’s soccer history that a team representative has been honored by the ECAC on an All-New England squad.
DANBURY, Conn. – Senior David Field (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) has been named to the 2015 ECAC Men's Soccer Division III New England All-Star team, it was announced by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference office today. This marks the first time in Emmanuel College men's soccer history that a team representative has been honored by the ECAC on an All-New England squad.
Field, who made his third consecutive appearance on the GNAC All-Conference team earlier this season as a First Team honoree, earns ECAC Second Team accolades after a stellar senior campaign.
The midfielder capped his senior season with a career-high 19 points on seven goals and five assists to rank first on the team in points and tied for 10th overall in the GNAC. Field recorded 14 of his 19 points during GNAC play to rank tied for third in the conference in points during GNAC action. From October 10 through October 24, Field scored a goal in five consecutive games.
Over his career, Field has tabulated 46 points on 17 goals and 12 assists. He ranks fifth all-time in goals, fourth all-time in points and tied for second all-time in assists.
Emmanuel wrapped the 2015 season with an overall record of 5-11-1, posting a 4-4-1 mark in the GNAC. EC earned the No. 5 seed in the GNAC tournament before falling to No. 4 Lasell, 1-0, to close out the campaign.
