Both teams battled each other to a scoreless first half. Each squad had chances to score but solid play by both keepers showed 0-0 at halftime. Curry held a slight advantage in shots at 8-4 while Emmanuel led on corner kicks, 3-2.
It wasn't until the 74th minute of play that the Colonels netted the only goal of the match and eventual game-winner. McFarland received the ball and one-timed it past the glove of Emmanuel's senior keeper James Withers (East Taunton, Mass.).
