FIELD, ALLEN NAMED TO GNAC ALL-CONFERENCE SQUAD
BOSTON, Mass. – Junior midfielder David Field (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) and sophomore back Jeff Allen (South Windsor, Conn.) have been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer All Conference Team, it was announced by the conference office today. Field makes his second consecutive appearance on the All-Conference team, earning Second Team honors this season while Allen earns Third Team honors for the first time in his collegiate career.

Field makes his second consecutive appearance on the All-Conference team, earning Second Team honors this season while Allen earns Third Team honors for the first time in his collegiate career.
Field capped his junior season with a career-high 13 points on four goals and five assists to rank tied for first on the team in points and tied for 16th overall in the GNAC. All five of his assists came within GNAC action, ranking his first in the conference in assists during league play. Field enjoyed a two-goal outing against Albertus Magnus College on Oct. 11. He also registered assists on the game-winners on Oct. 14 vs. Lasell and Sept. 20 vs. Rivier.
Over his career, Field has tabulated 27 points on 10 goals and seven assists. He ranks tied for fifth all-time in goals, sixth all-time in points and tied for sixth all-time in assists. Field will enter his senior season having played in 46 contests.
Allen enjoyed a strong sophomore campaign as one of the Saints standout backs. He played in and started all 18 contests for Emmanuel and helped the Saints post a 2.44 goals against average on the year, recording five shutouts on the year. He recorded three points on three assists to rank tied for second on the team in assists.
Over his two season with the Saints, Allen has played in 39 contests starting all but one. He has recorded seven assists to rank tied for sixth all-time and has been a part of seven shutouts.
Emmanuel wrapped the 2014 season with an overall record of 5-11-2, posting a 4-5 mark in the GNAC. EC earned the No. 6 seed in the GNAC tournament before falling to No. 3 Lasell, 5-2, to close out the campaign.
