AS A FRESHMAN … Saw lots of action during rookie campaign, appearing in 19 of 20 contests while getting 13 starts for the Saints … Made collegiate debut on Sept. 3 in a 0-0 draw vs. Maine Maritime before earning his first collegiate start on Sept. 7 vs. Mitchell College … Ended the season with a total of two points, scoring his first collegiate goal in a 10-0 victory over Wheelock College on Sept. 22 on a penalty kick … Finished the season with a total of 16 shot attempts.

BEFORE EMMANUEL...Downing was a three sport-athlete at Oxford High School (Oxford, Mass.), playing soccer, basketball and baseball...started on the varsity soccer team as a freshman, sophomore and junior, but sat out senior year due to a knee injury...named team captain, 1st team all-league and 1st team All-Central Mass.
