Bio

AS A JUNIOR...

  • Sousa appeared in and started in 16 contests for the Saints during a season that proved to be the most successful for a faceoff specialist in Emmanuel College Lacrosse history
  • On March 28, Sousa set the Saints single game record for ground ball pick ups with 17 against Umass-Dartmouth, in the contest he also wona season high 21 faceoffs which is the second most in program history. On April 11, he tied his ground ball record against Anna Maria.
  • Won more than half of the faceoffs in 13 out of 16 games in 2017 and won double-digit faceoffs in 12 contest
  • Sousa finished the season with 214 face-offs won (EC record), 153 ground balls picked up (EC record) and a faceoff win percentage of .622 which is good for fourth best in program history.
  • On May 9, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference anounced that Sousa was named to the GNAC All-Conference First Team for his efforts in the 2017 campaign

AS A SOPHOMORE...

  • Appeared in 20 games for the GNAC Champions, starting 14 of them
  • Scored two goals and added three assists, totaling five points on the year
  • Went 158-308 from the center dot, picked up 98 ground balls (tied for program record), and attempted five shots
  • Was 35-50 in the GNAC Tournament, after going 26-33 in the final two games of the regular season.

AS A FRESHMAN...

  • Participated in 15 games for the Saints as a faceoff specialist
  • Went 28-63 from the center spot, picking up 13 ground balls, and causing two turnovers
  • Was 8-11 on faceoffs in his collegiate debut against Plymouth State on February 28
