Saints Finish Fifth at Elms Invite, Reynolds Breaks Single-Season Scoring Mark
SOUTHWICK, Mass. - Saints junior Ian Reynolds (East Haven, Conn.) turned in his seventh top-five finish of the 2023-24 season, and after a 7-over round of 79, became the single-season record holder for lowest season scoring average in program history, all while helping lead the Saints to a fifth-place finish at the season-ending Elms College Invitational at The Ranch Golf Club.
SOUTHWICK, Mass. - Saints junior Ian Reynolds (East Haven, Conn.) turned in his seventh top-five finish of the 2023-24 season, and after a 7-over round of 79, became the single-season record holder for lowest season scoring average in program history, all while helping lead the Saints to a fifth-place finish at the season-ending Elms College Invitational at The Ranch Golf Club.
Reynolds finished the season with a scoring average of 78.00, beating the previous record by a full stroke, held by Matteo Pocobene from the 2015 season. Among the 10 tournament scores Reynolds turned in over nine sanctioned events, the junior captain turned in a single-season record for rounds under 80 with eight. His 78.00 season average moves his career average to 82.03, good for third in program history.
Saints first-year Ryan Brunet (Peabody, Mass.) finished T8, capping off an impressive rookie season with a round of 9-over, 81. Seniors Connor Maguire (Old Lyme, Conn.) and Jackson Keplinger (Cheshire, Mass.) finish their Saints careers with rounds of 87 and 96, respectively. Sophomore Gage Libby (Newton, N.H.) made his Emmanuel debut with a round of 109.
The 2023-24 season concludes for the Saints who return to the course in the Fall.
