Men's Golf Wraps Up September Slate at EC Invite
HINGHAM, Mass. – Saints first-year Ryan Brunet (Peabody, Mass.) and junior Ian Reynolds (East Haven, Conn.) turned in a pair of top-10 finishes on Thursday afternoon at the EC Invite, hosted by South Shore Country Club.

Returning to South Shore for their second time this season, Brunet improved on his previous collegiate career-low, firing an 11-over-par, 83 on Thursday, placing him T7 in the event. Reynolds finished one shot higher with a 12-over, 84, placing him 10th on the day.
The Saints finished third among the four-team field after a team total of 349. A pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference foes were present in the event, as Albertus Magnus shot 318 to win the team event while Mitchell finished with a total of 369 to place fourth. Rhode Island College placed second in the team event, shooting a 344 on Thursday.
Falcons sophomore Shamar Wilson (Runaway Bay, Jamaica) finished as the medalist, turning in a card of 3-over, 75, winning the event by one shot over Mitchell's Shamus McLean (Groton, Conn.). Wilson's win is his fourth of the 2023 season.
The Saints are back on Oct. 5, heading to the Mitchell Invite III at Shennecossett Golf Course. Tee times for the invite start at 12:00 p.m. The Mitchell Invite is the last warm-up before the GNAC Championship on Oct. 9 and 10, hosted by Albertus Magnus at New Haven Country Club.
