Men's Golf Finishes Fourth in Mitchell Invite
GROTON, Conn. -- The Emmanuel College men's golf team finished fourth at the Mitchell Invite II on Thursday afternoon at Shennecossett Golf Course.
GROTON, Conn. -- The Emmanuel College men's golf team finished fourth at the Mitchell Invite II on Thursday afternoon at Shennecossett Golf Course.
The Bulldogs recorded a team score of 331, besting the Mariners (343) by 12 shots. Eastern Nazarene College (363) and Emmanuel College (393) rounded out the field.
ENC's Michael Dietz took home individual medalist honors with the low round of 75, one of three golfers on the day to break 80. Dietz was three shots clear of runner-up Nick Knisel (Weatogue, Conn./Simsbury) of Mitchell who shot 78, and Dean's Mike McAuliffe carded a team-best round of 79.
For Emmanuel, Theo Doherty (Natick, Mass.) led the way with a 91 while Taylor Kieselback (Simsbury, Conn.) shot a 92. Next in the clubhouse was Ian Tait (Scituate, R.I.) with a 103 while Jacson Mooers (Lincolnvile, Maine) rounded out the EC squad with a career-best 107
Mitchell will next host the Mitchell Invite III on Tuesday, October 1 at Shennecossett Golf Course.
