GOLF PLACES THIRD IN EC QUAD MATCH
The Emmanuel College golf team hosted its annual Quad match Thursday afternoon at the William J. Devine Golf Course at Franklin Park. The Saints carded a team score of 339 to finish in third place. Suffolk University captured first place in the match with a net score of 305 while Newbury College placed second with a score of 316. Rounding out the pack was Daniel Webster College finishing fourth with a team score of 357.

The Saints carded a team score of 339 to finish in third place. Suffolk University captured first place in the match with a net score of 305 while Newbury College placed second with a score of 316. Rounding out the pack was Daniel Webster College finishing fourth with a team score of 357.
Individual medalist honors went to Suffolk University sophomore Luke Ferrari (Milton, Mass.). Ferrari fired off a 71, shooting two-over on the front side with a 36 and an impressive one-under on the back with a 35. The sophomore carded a total of five birdies on his round including three on the back nine.
For the Nighthawks, sophomore David Hart (Keene, N.H.) fired off a career-low 76 to held Newbury to a program low score of 316.
For Emmanuel, freshman Matteo Pocobene (Malden, Mass.) was consistent with his front and back nine scores, shooting a 41 on both sides for a net 82. Much like Pocobene, sophomore Brett Burman (Bridgewater, Conn.) was consistent on both sides of the course, shooting a 44 on both the front and back for the net round of 88.
Freshman Jonathan Rogers (Lynnfield, Mass.) matched Pocobene for the team low, firing an 82 by scoring a 40 on the front nine followed by a 42 on the back nine. Freshman Cameron Dillon (Braintree, Mass.) tied Burman with another 88, shooting a 43 on the front nine followed by a 45 on the back.
Rounding out the scores for EC was sophomore Michael Burgess (Milton, Mass.) who carded an 87 with a 46 on the front and a 41 on the back.
The Saints will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 26 when they head to Granby, Mass. for the Elms College Blazer Invitational with the first tee-time set for 12:10 PM.
