BALANCED ATTACK BOOSTS SAINTS OVER FALCONS

Boston, MA - The Emmanuel Men's Basketball Team cruised to a 72-57 win over visiting Albertus Magnus College in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action on Thursday night. The Saints posted a balanced offensive attack with three players scoring in double figures and the team shooting 44% from the field.
Senior forward Levi Smith (Tulsa, OK) led Emmanuel with 16 points, shooting 5 for 7 from the floor and 6 for 8 from the line. Smith also pulled down 6 rebounds and nabbed 3 steals. Junior guard Rob Williams-Hinton (Oak Park, MI) netted 14 points and grabbed 5 boards for the Saints. Sophomore point guard Mike Jackson (New York, NY) hit for 12 points in 13 minutes, shooting 6 for 8 from the field. Junior forward Andres Bustamante (Amherst, MA) chipped in with 9 points and collected a team-high 9 rebounds in the win.
For the Falcons, junior guard Sha'Ron Young (New Haven, CT) scored a game-high 24 points and tallied 4 steals. Junior forward Bobby Leonzo (East Haven, CT) was the only other Falcon player to score in double figures with 11 points. Junior forward Adam Hovan (Ansonia, CT) pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds in the effort.
With this win, Emmanuel improved to 12-6 on the season and 10-1 in the GNAC, while Albertus Magnus fell to 1-16 overall and 1-10 in GNAC play. The Saints will be back in action on Saturday when they host the Raiders of Rivier College in a 3pm start.
