Men's Hoops Earns NABC Academic Honors; Six Players Nab Honors Court
KANSAS CITY, Mo.– The Emmanuel College Men's Basketball team has earned NABC Academic Team Honors for the 2022-23 academic year, it was announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches on Wednesday afternoon. The Saints also had six individual players earn NABC Honors Court accolades as seniors Brendan Kade (Summerville, S.C.), Ted Weber (Orange, Conn.), Mike Jean-Louis (Randolph, Mass.), Kendrick Jean-Francois (Lynn, Mass.) and juniors Bryant Ciccio (Attleboro, Mass.) and Ryan Grijalva (Straham, N.H.) were recognized.

The Saints were among the 315 institutions honored, one of 14 from the state of Massachusetts and only one of two GNAC schools joining Regis (MA) on the list.
The NABC has announced the recipients of the 2022-23 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court, representing outstanding achievement in the classroom by men's college basketball teams and student-athletes.
"I'm extremely proud of our players for working so hard both on and off the court," said Head Coach Littell White. "They're committed to excellence in the classroom which shows what it truly means to be a student-athlete at Emmanuel."
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2022-23 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2022-23 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The NABC's academic awards include honorees from all levels of college basketball.
"Education is a core value of the NABC, and we are privileged to recognize these outstanding student-athletes and the coaches and support staff who invest in their development," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "The hundreds of teams and thousands of players that qualified for NABC academic awards this season are a testament to our sport's ongoing prioritization of success in the classroom."
