Men's Basketball Drops GNAC Game at Anna Maria, 56-46
PAXTON, Mass. - The Anna Maria College men’s basketball team won 56-46 over visiting Emmanuel College on Tuesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Fuller Center in Paxton.

TURNING POINT:
- Trailing for most of the game, the AMCATS – down by as much as 10 – would storm back in the second half, shooting 46.2 percent from the floor while holding the Saints to 19.2 percent shooting. A 10-2 run capped off with a free throw from Anna Maria sophomore forward Gabe Armstead (Dallas, GA) with 7:23 to go put the hosts ahead for good.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Armstead led the AMCATS with a 20-point, 12-rebound, four-assist, three-block, and two-steal performance, his sixth career double-double.
- Emmanuel sophomore guard Ryan Grijalva (Stratham, NH) led the Saints with 15 points, four rebounds, and two steals.
- Anna Maria sophomore guard Trevian Grenon (Sutton, MA) finished with 14 points and seven rebounds for the AMCATS.
- Emmanuel sophomore forward Donte Pope (Middletown, CT) posted a double-double with 13 points and team-high ten boards.
- Anna Maria senior guard Hayden Braga (Foster, RI) was once again instant energy off the bench with seven points, five rebounds, and three assists in just 22 minutes.

The Saints are back tomorrow night with a non-conference game at Brandeis with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m. Anna Maria will be back on the court on Saturday when they host Elms College in a 2:00 p.m. game.
