BOSTON - Helped by a season-best 60.0 percent from the field on 39-of-65 shooting and career scoring highs for senior Devin Pulsifer (Winthrop, Mass.), junior Ricky Martin (Sicklerville, N.J.), and sophomore Ryan Grijalva (Stratham, N.H.), the Saints improved to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the GNAC, following a 99-66 victory over Colby-Sawyer College.

THE LEAD – Helped by a season-best 60.0 percent from the field on 39-of-65 shooting and career scoring highs for senior Devin Pulsifer (Winthrop, Mass.), junior Ricky Martin (Sicklerville, N.J.), and sophomore Ryan Grijalva (Stratham, N.H.), the Saints improved to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the GNAC, following a 99-66 victory over Colby-Sawyer College.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- A game that was within one possession for much of the first half was broken open in the last 6:23 of the opening 20 minutes as the Saints finished the half on a 23-7 run that put them ahead 45-29.
- In the 6:23 stretch at the end of the first half, the Saints shot 10-of-11 from the field and got 10 points in the run from Martin and six more points from Grijalva to lead by 16 at halftime.
- The Chargers got as close as 11 early in the second half, but another major Saints run, this time 27-8 over a span of 7:10 put Emmanuel ahead by their largest margin at the time, 79-49.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Martin finished with a career-high 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting in 21 minutes.
- Grijalva added a career-high 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting in 22 minutes, off the bench.
- Pulsifer had a career-high 14 points in just 13 minutes, shooting 5-for-7.
- Chargers junior Conor Kelly (Charlestown, Mass.) had a team-high 15 points for Colby-Sawyer. Juniors Scott Lampron (Concord, N.H.) and Zack Caraballo (Salem, N.H.) chipped in 10 points each.
- Emmanuel shot 60.6 percent (20-of-33) in the second half, a season-best for shooting in a single half.
- The Saints 99-point performance is their best since a 99-60 victory over Pine Manor College in November 2019.
