MEN'S HOOPS DRAINS 16 FROM DOWNTOWN IN 85-71 WIN OVER ANNA MARIA
BOSTON, MASS. - Three players scored in the double digits to power the Emmanuel College men?s basketball team past the Anna Maria Amcats, 85-71, Wednesday night in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference match-up at the Andy Yosinoff Court. The Saints shot 16-for-26 from 3-point land and went 11-for-13 from the free throw line.

The Saints shot 16-for-26 from 3-point land and went 11-for-13 from the free throw line.
Emmanuel junior Emmett Reddick (Middletown, Conn.) led the Saints with 27 points. Joe Tamburro (South Windsor, Conn.) ended the night with 19 points and Marcus Fox (Danbury, Conn.) finished with 18 points.
Three players from the Amcats also scored in the double digits. Junior Bobby Perette (Marshfield, Mass.) powered the Amcats' offense with 31 points. Junior Mike Rapoza (Charlton, Mass.) contributed 15 points and senior Sidney Limage (Randolph, Mass.) finished the night with 10.
The Saints began the game with a 13-point lead with 11:18 left in the first half, but the Amcats closed the gap as the first half progressed. Anna Maria came within two points of tying the Saints with 4:20 left. Emmanuel responded with two successful free-throws, a layup, and a 3-pointer, which posted a score of 34-31 at the end of the first half.
The second half of the game opened with Emmett Reddick shooting 4 three-pointers within the first 6 minutes. With 4:40 left in the game, Anna Maria freshman Kennedy Minix Rogers (Smyrna, GA.), made a layup to put the Amcats only one point away from tying the game. Emmanuel responded with two more 3-pointers and 3 defensive rebounds.
The Saints improve to 17-6 overall and 8-2 in the conference. The Saints take on Johnson & Wales University on Saturday for their final regular season home game. Anna Maria closes out the season on Saturday at home against Lasell. Both matchups are conference games.
