FOX NAMED GNAC MEN'S BASKETBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College freshman forward Marcus Fox (Danbury, Conn.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the conference office earlier today.

Fox enjoyed the best week of his young career, averaging 17.0 points and 5.3 over three games. The rookie poured in a game-high 24 points against Lasell on the road with a 10-for-16 shooting performance before following it up with a 17 point, nine rebound effort against defending GNAC Champions Albertus Magnus College. He ended the week shooting just below 60% from the field (22-for-37) to go along with three assists and one block.

On the year, Fox is averaging 9.5 points per game to rank third on the team in scoring.

The Saints are in the midst of an 11-game losing skid and look to right the ship on Tuesday, January 16 when they play host to Johnson & Wales University at 7:00 PM.
