AS A SOPHOMORE...Welles played in 14 games and started in 8 of them...suffered a broken hand mid-way through the season and was forced to sit out...was Emmanuel's 6th leading scorer, averaging 5.2 points per game...finished his sophomore year with 73 points, 25 rebounds and 17 assists.

AS A FRESHMAN...Welles saw playing time in 23 games with four starts...scored 106 points on the year...totaled 53 rebounds (13-40-53) while also dishing out 22 assists...shot 12-46 from three-point range and hit 58% of free-throws.

BEFORE EMMANUEL...Welles was a four-year player on the varsity team at Central High School in Philadelphia, Pa...started his final two seasons...named one of the top student-athletes in the city...earned recognition on the All-Public team as a senior.
