CONNELLY VOTED GNAC RUNNER OF THE WEEK

Emmanuel College freshman Christopher Connelly was selected the Great Northeast Athletic Conference's Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. Connelly's most recent honor came on September 12th, after the rookie captured a 6th place finish in Massachusetts Maritime Academy's Lt. Travis Fuller Invitational.
Connelly paced the Saints, running a 28:25 five-mile race, for a pace of 5:41 per mile. His 6th place finish, topped 77 other runners, and Connelly was the first GNAC runner to cross the finish line.
Connelly, a native of Quincy, Massachusetts, is picking up his second-straight GNAC honor. He was also named the GNAC Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week on September 5th.
Connelly and the Saints will return to action this Saturday, September 17th, competing in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational in Dartmouth, Mass.
All GNAC honors are voted upon by the Sports Information Directors of the fourteen conference institutions.
