BOSTON, Mass. – Sean Colford (Epping, N.H.) continues to rack up conference honors in his sophomore cross country season at Emmanuel. Colford was honored once again by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), being named the GNAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Colford's most recent honor came on October 21, 2013, after the sophomore transfer led the Saints to a fourth place finish at the 8th Annual Saints Invitational last Friday evening. Colford ran his personal record 8k time of 27:28 to place ninth overall out of the field of 169 total runners. Colford was the first GNAC racer to cross the line in the meet.
Colford was also named the GNAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week three other times this year, including recognition on September 2, September 9 and October 14.
Colford has the Saints looking strong heading into the GNAC Championship meet on November 2. Emmanuel has finished ahead of all other GNAC teams in both of the Saints' most recent meets, including posting a win last week at the Runnin' Monks Invitational on the GNAC Championship course at Saint Joseph's College.
