SAINTS GIVE BACK

ALLSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field Teams volunteered their time this past Sunday to work at the 10th Annual Brian J. Honan 5k road race. The Cross Country and Track student-athletes have consistently committed their time to working this annual event and were once again supremely instrumental in hosting a tremendous community road race in 2013.

ALLSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Teams volunteered their time this past Sunday to work at the 10th Annual Brian J. Honan 5k road race. The Cross Country and Track student-athletes have consistently committed their time to working this annual event and were once again supremely instrumental in hosting a tremendous community road race in 2013.

The Saints worked with great enthusiasm through a rainy morning that eventually cleared up to a beautiful afternoon by the time the race's 1,800+ registered runners were off.  The Emmanuel student-athletes, along with Head Coach Tony DaRocha and Assistant Coach Alice Kramer, manned the race's finish line.  Together, they worked with the Racewire staff in maintaining accuracy in the race results, as well as handing out medals to all finishers.

The proceeds from the road race go directly to Brian J Honan Fund, which supports and fosters local and national programs that support education, recreation, housing and healthcare. Funds from the Brian J. Honan 5K also benefit the Scholarship funds of the Allston Board of Trade and the Brighton Board of Trade.
