Murphy ran in four meets for the Saints ... raced to his personal best 5k time (20:12) on September 1st ... ran 20:34 in the 5k at Roger Williams University's Invitational ... posted a 32:24 time at the UMass Dartmouth meet on September 15th ... ran distance events for Emmanuel's Outdoor Track & Field Team during the spring season ... raced to his personal best 800m time of 2:19.07 on April 6th at Fitchburg State University's Sheehan Invitational.

AS A FRESHMAN ... Murphy raced in five of the Saints' six meets during the 2011 season ... ran his 8k personal record on October 1st at Gordon College, with a time of 31:13 ... also participated on Emmanuel Indoor Track & Field Team during the winter season and ran distance events.

BEFORE EMMANUEL ... Murphy was a two-sport athlete at Sandwich High School (Sandwich, Mass.) ... ran both Cross Country and Track & Field all four years.
