THE LEAD – In the final meet before the Conference Championship, Saints Track & Field took the opportunity for some final adjustments at the Regis Pre-Conference Championship Meet on Saturday.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• The Saints took the top two spots in the pole vault in Saturday's Pre-Conference Championship Meet as first-year Paula Salazar (Cumberland, R.I.) cleared the bar at 2.55 meters while junior Beverly Browne (Amesbury, Mass.) cleared 2.40 meters, resulting in the first and second place finishes.
• First-year Tiffany Fischer (South River, N.J.) took home a pair of third place finishes with a triple jump distance of 8.40 meters and a javelin throw of 28.80 meters.
• The final top-five finish of the day went to sophomore Alyssa French-Graham (Waterbury, Conn.), competing in the hammer throw and claiming a fifth-place finish with a PR distance of 33.85 meters.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• First-year Gus Fallah (Acton, Mass.) was the top finisher on the men's side for Emmanuel, placing fourth in the pole vault after clearing a height of 2.30 meters.
• Sophomore Matthew Steffan (Quincy, Mass.) finished eighth in two throwing events, setting a discus PR with a distance of 30.46 meters, matched with a javelin throw of 35.08 meters.
