Saints Track and Field Compete at Thursday's Regis Spring Classic
WESTON, Mass. - On just five days rest, the Emmanuel Saints track and field programs returned to action, but the short time between meets didn’t stop the program from recording numerous top-fives at the Regis Spring Classic on Thursday.

THE LEAD – On just five days rest, the Emmanuel Saints track and field programs returned to action, but the short time between meets didn't stop the program from recording numerous top-fives at the Regis Spring Classic on Thursday.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior Kate Elliott (Carmel, Ind.) was one of two Saints to claim a first-place finish in an event, as the mid-distance racer captured the win in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing with a time of 15:06.13.
- Sophomore Desiree Robinson (New Haven, Conn.) joined Elliott in capturing first place in an event for the EC women's program, finishing first in the high jump, after clearing the bar at 1.50 meters. Robinson added three other top-five finishes including second in the long jump, fourth in the triple jump, and fifth in the 100-meter dash.
- Senior Elizabeth Cameron (Raynham, Mass.) took home a pair of second place finishes in the 1,500-meter and 5,000-meter runs. The 1,500-meter run was completed in a PR time of 5:10.50 while the 5K finished in 20:37.33.
- Sophomores Cynthia Brito (Whitman, Mass.) and Alyssa French-Graham (Waterbury, Conn.), and first-years Paula Salazar (Cumberland, R.I.) and Victoria Bettencourt (Swansea, Mass.) all placed third in their respective events of triple jump, discus, pole vault, and long jump.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- First-year Pierre Paul Labossierre (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) came in with a first-place finish in the triple jump, with a PR distance of 11.89 meters. He added a second-place mark in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.75 meters.
- First-year Adam Von-Maszewski (Westborough, Mass.) came in second, just behind Labossierre in the triple jump with a leap of 11.37 meters. The next two finishers in the triple jump were also Saints, as first-years Gus Fallah (Acton, Mass.) and Ismani Cepeda (Roslindale, Mass.) finished third and fourth respectively, with distances of 10.62 meters for Fallah and 9.91 meters for Cepeda.
- First-year Mikel Lacroix (Cumberland, R.I.) placed third in the 100-meter dash, finishing the event with a PR time of 11.60 seconds. Lacroix added a fifth-place finish in the 200-meters, ending the race with a time of 24.31 seconds.
- A pair of PRs adds to some of the top-fives for the EC men's team on the day. Junior Kyle Antoine (Brockton, Mass.) placed fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 15:15.20 while sophomore Michael Chudik (Acton, Mass.) placed fifth in the hammer throw with a distance of 24.60 meters.
