SAINTS RAISE BAR AT REGGIE POYAU MEET

WALTHAM, Mass. - The Emmanuel College Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Teams competed in the Reggie Poyau Meet on Saturday afternoon. The meet was hosted by Brandeis University. Three Emmanuel Saints set new program records, while many others posted improved performances.
Emmanuel freshman Christopher Conway (Norton, MA) and junior Ben Cleveland (Auburn, ME) both led the men, setting two new school records. Conway set a record in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.88, while Clevelend rose the bar in the 600 meters with a time of 1:28.17. Freshmen Nick O'Brian (Watertown, CT) and Josh Silva (Framingham, MA) earned their personal bests in the 55-meter dash, both running 6.92. Freshman Wesley Cowles (Hebron, CT) ran his personal best in the 800 with a time of 2:05.94. Junior Alex Lucier earned his personal best in the long jump with a distance of 18' 8".
On the women's side, freshman Brittany Sorice (Dover, NH) broke the Emmanuel record she set last week in the 600 meters with a time of 1:49.32. Senior Cathryn Lariviere (Windham, NH) ran her personal best in the 5K, running 18:40.27. Freshmen Marissa LaFlamme (Newburyport, MA) and Victoria Cole (Carver, MA) ran their personal bests in the mile with a time of 6:09.94 and 6:13.52, respectively. Freshman Jessica Robinson (Holliston, MA) ran her personal best in the 400 meters with a time of 67.86, while Hanna Fox (Biddeford, ME), also a rookie, ran her personal best in the 55-meter dash with a time of 8.28.
