TRACK & FIELD TEAMS MAINTAIN MOMENTUM AT TUFTS INVITATIONAL

MEDFORD, Mass. - The Emmanuel College Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Teams competed in the Tufts University Invitational on Saturday. Running amongst several competitive programs, the Saints prevailed with strong and improved performances, including one Emmanuel athlete qualifying for the New England Division III Championships.
Emmanuel junior Megan Reichel (Mashpee, MA) cleared 4'11'' in the high jump, which qualified her for the New England Division III Championships. Senior Cathryn Lariviere (Windham, NH) set a new Emmanuel record in the 3K with a time of 10:59.82. Freshman Marissa LaFlamme (Newburyport, MA) ran her personal best in the mile with a time of 6:10.66. Sophomore Maureen Kellett (Westborough, MA) wasn't far behind LaFlamme, running her personal best of 6:17.28. Freshman Brittany Sorice (Dover, NH) set a school record in the 600 meters, running 1:51.34. Freshman Victoria Cole (Carver, MA) ran her personal best in the 1000 meters with a time of 3:43.24. Kelsey Fitzpatrick (Milford, MA) and Jessica Robinson (Holliston, MA) also posted personal bests in the 400 meters running 68.41 and 68.72, respectively.
Freshman Christopher Conway (Norton, MA) led the men with his winning performance in the 55 meter high hurdles. He won the event with a final time of 7.97. He also ran his personal best in the 55-meter run with a time of 6.92. Freshman Nick O'Brian (Watertown, CT) ran his personal best in the 55 meters with a time of 6.96. Freshman Stephen Armstrong (Revere, MA) ran his personal best in the mile with a time of 4:50.22.
