Bio

Jeremiah Bailey joined the Emmanuel cross country/track & field coaching staff in 2022, specializing as a Distance Coach for the program.

Bailey brings a wealth of coaching and running knowledge to the staff, having served as a Head Coach in the Stoneham Public school system since 1998, leading his program to numerous championships at the high school level. He was named the 2006 Boston Globe Coach of the Year.

He was a former full-scholarship runner for the UMass Lowell track & field program while he studied English. While at UMass Lowell, he helped lead the River Hawks to the NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country National Championship in 1991 and was inducted into the UMass Lowell Athletics Hall of Fame with his teammates as part of the Class of 2006.

Coach Bailey has served as the Co-Race Director and Announcer for the Stoneham Public Schools Charity 5K race since 2007 and was also a key contributor to mapping and designing the Middlesex Fells Reservation Cross Country course with DCR.

Aside from running, Bailey is an avid golfer, swimmer and tennis player and resides in Melrose, Mass.
