Emmanuel Continues Indoor Campaign at Branwen Smith-King Invitational

Saints sophomore Pierre Paul Labossiere (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) came away with three finishes inside the top eight places on Saturday in the field. Labossiere placed fifth in the triple jump, setting a PR in the event with a distance of 12.38 meters (40' 7.50"). He added a sixth-place mark in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.85 meters (6' 0.75"). The second-year underclassman added one final PR in the long jump with a distance of 6.06 meters (19' 10.75"), good for eighth place.
Fellow sophomore Luke Wiley (East Wareham, Mass.) finished seventh in his only event of the day, posting a distance of 11.74 meters (38' 6.25") in the triple jump.
First-year Isaiah Etienne (Watertown, Mass.) continued his strong showing in the 200 meters, running the event in 23.70, placing him eighth in the event. He added a PR in the 60 meters on Saturday, running the event in 7.49. First-year Nicholas Ware (Rehoboth, Mass.) rounded out the top-10 finishes for the men's program, coming in 10th in the 3000 meters with a time of 9:56.42.
For the women's team, sophomore Emily Greene (Swansea, Mass.) posted a seventh-place finish in the high jump with a height of 1.46 meters (4' 9.50"). Greene was also a part of the Saints 4x400 meter team that placed seventh in the relay event. Senior Sasha Hyacinthe (Stoughton, Mass.) took eighth place in the shot put with a season-best throw of 10.15 meters (33' 3.75").
The Saints return to action next week at the two-day John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University. Events start on Friday, Jan. 26 and carry on to Saturday, Jan. 27 for the Saints.
