Indoor Track and Field Returns to Action at the Reggie Poyau Memorial at Brandeis
WALTHAM, Mass. – Making their 2024 debut and continuing their indoor schedule, Emmanuel track and field returned to action on Saturday, competing in the Reggie Poyau Memorial Invitational, hosted by Brandeis University.

The top finish of the day belonged to the Saints women with sophomore Paula Salazar (Cumberland, R.I.) placing fifth in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 2.50 meters.
Junior Cynthia Brito (Whitman, Mass.) matched a personal best in the triple jump, placing sixth in the event with a distance of 10.01 meters.
Sophomore Emily Greene (Swansea, Mass.) had a sixth-place mark on the day, finishing the 800-meter run in 2:50.38. First-year Amy Proulx (Littleton, Mass.) scored her own sixth-place finish, completing the 60-meter hurdles in 10.66.
Men's sophomore Pierre Paul Labossiere (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) recorded a pair of sixth-place finishes at Brandeis. On track, Labossiere ran the 800 meters in a time of 2:16.73 while in the field, his triple jump of 12.27 meters set a new personal best.
Senior Kyle Antoine (Brockton, Mass.) turned in a top-10 finish in the 800 meter run after a time of 2:35.37, good for ninth place. First-year Nicholas Ware (Rehoboth, Mass.) rounded out the top-10 finishes for the Saints men, placing 10th in the mile with a time of 5:02.60.
In the team score, the Saints men's finished eighth overall, scoring eight points on the day. Among Great Northeast Athletic Conference teams, the EC men were 21 points behind Regis. The Saints women finished 10th as a team with 18 points which was also good for second-best among GNAC teams, trailing Regis by 11.
The Saints return to action at the two-day Branwen Smith-King Invitational, hosted by Tufts University on Jan. 19 and 20.
