Class of 2024 Emmanuel College Athletics Senior Awards Announced
BOSTON - On Monday, May 13, 2024, the Emmanuel College Department of Athletics held its annual Senior Awards Banquet, honoring members of the Class of 2024 for their accomplishments on the field, in the classroom, and within the community. This year, a total of 20 awards were presented as 17 student-athletes and three Emmanuel staff members were recognized by the department.
BOSTON - On Monday, May 13, 2024, the Emmanuel College Department of Athletics held its annual Senior Awards Banquet, honoring members of the Class of 2024 for their accomplishments on the field, in the classroom, and within the community. This year, a total of 20 awards were presented as 17 student-athletes and three Emmanuel staff members were recognized by the department.
Each May, at the conclusion of the academic year, the Emmanuel College Athletic Staff gathers to honor the numerous accomplishments achieved by the graduating class. Following an internal nominations and voting process, the department bestows awards to Saints student-athletes in the following areas: the Andrew Yosinoff Athletic Achievement Award, Scholar-Athlete Award, Leadership Award, HALO's Award, Unsung Hero Award, Perseverance Award, Saints Club Award, Inspiration Award, and Sportsmanship Award.
All seniors honored are nominated by their Head Coaches or an Emmanuel College staff member before a selection committee of department representatives selects each award recipient based on the award descriptions.
Following the voting process, the Class of 2024 and members of the Athletic Staff gathered in the Eisner Administration Building Auditorium to celebrate this group of honorees:

Andrew Yosinoff Athletic Achievement Award - Olivia Conti (Softball) Given annually to a senior athlete who has excelled on the playing field and provided the greatest contribution to the athletic reputation of Emmanuel College through exceptional athletic achievement. CAREER SUMMARY: Conti leaves her name across the record books of the softball program after four years of unquestionable success for Emmanuel. The Saints full-time shortstop played 144 games in four seasons and was voted to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Conference Team in each of her four years; three times at First Team and once at Third Team. Conti holds the program record for career home runs (33), runs scored (144), and is tied for most RBI (111). She's second all-time in the program in hits (175), doubles (46), total bases (326), stolen bases (53), and slugging (.697). Her .374 career batting average and .431 on-base percentage are both sixth-best all-time, among a list of other accomplishments and statistics that rank in the top 10 in program history. |

Andrew Yosinoff Athletic Achievement Award - Donte Pope (Men's Basketball) Given annually to a senior athlete who has excelled on the playing field and provided the greatest contribution to the athletic reputation of Emmanuel College through exceptional athletic achievement. CAREER SUMMARY: Pope is one of the best players in the history of the men's basketball program, all while approaching team records in just three seasons of play with the Saints. One of the senior captains this season, Pope made 79 appearances in three years with the Saints, starting in all 79 of those games. He was voted to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Second Team in each of his three seasons with Emmanuel. Pope sits fourth in program history in points (1,375), but due to his three seasons of playing, is the program's record holder in career scoring average (17.4 PPG). Across other scoring categories, he's fourth all-time in field goals made (506), fifth all-time in field goal percentage (51.1), and sixth in free throws made (265). Among defensive categories, Pope is second in rebounds (654) and second in defensive rebounds (502) in program history. |

Senior Scholar-Athlete Award - Adom Oshagan (Men's Soccer) Given annually to a male and a female member of the senior class who combine excellence in the classroom with excellence on the playing field and have maintained the highest cumulative grade point average among the senior student-athletes. CAREER SUMMARY: Oshagan played three seasons for men's soccer, making 49 appearances for the squad, including 32 starts. His career consists of two goals and two assists for six career points for the men's soccer program. Oshagan, a regular in the Emmanuel midfield in his junior and senior seasons, is a three-time member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and a two-time member of the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District squad. |

Senior Scholar-Athlete Award - Alyssa Hogan (Women's Lacrosse) Given annually to a male and a female member of the senior class who combine excellence in the classroom with excellence on the playing field and have maintained the highest cumulative grade point average among the senior student-athletes. CAREER SUMMARY: Hogan played three seasons for the women's lacrosse program and made 56 career appearances, including 37 starts over those years. This season, Hogan was a constant in the Emmanuel lineup, starting all 20 games for the Saints in 2024. The women's lacrosse team senior captain, Hogan has 21 goals and 28 assists for 49 points in her career at Emmanuel. She's a three-time member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and will earn a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team after the nomination process concludes this June. |

Senior Leadership Award - Kiera Eubanks (Women's Basketball) Given annually to a senior athlete who has distinguished himself or herself by demonstrating the qualities desired to lead successful teams throughout his or her athletic career. CAREER SUMMARY: A leader on and off the court, Eubanks spend three seasons with the Saints, steadily improving on her game throughout 82 appearances and 55 career starts. This season, Eubanks was one of the captains of the women's basketball program and averaged career-bests in scoring, shooting, minutes played, and blocks. Primarily a center throughout her career, Eubanks is a three-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference Academic Team member, a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team member, and was voted the team Most Improved Player in 2022, given the Coaches Appreciation Award in 2023, earned the Academic Team Award for GPA in 2023, and was a one-time conference champion, being part of the GNAC Championship Team in 2021-22. |

Senior Leadershipship Award - Eric Anderson (Men's Lacrosse) Given annually to a senior athlete who has distinguished himself or herself by demonstrating the qualities desired to lead successful teams throughout his or her athletic career. CAREER SUMMARY: One of only a few two-year captains in men's lacrosse history, Anderson was a pinnacle of leadership and determination in his four seasons with the Saints. Shifting between the starter and backup early in his career, Anderson honed his craft to the tune of 17 starts in 17 games in his senior season at Emmanuel. Anderson is a three-time member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and finishes his career with 39 games played, 29 starts, and nearly 1,800 minutes played in goal. |

HALO's Award - Michael Tardibuono (Men's Lacrosse) Honors the senior athlete who best represents Emmanuel with Heart, Attitude, Loyalty, Outstanding athletic ability and demonstrated success as a Student. CAREER SUMMARY: Tardibuono was nothing short of reliable for the Saints, especially in each of his last two seasons, never missing a game for the Saints defensive grouping. Over the last two seasons, the Saints played 39 games, of which Tardibuono started in all 39. This season, a captain of the Saints, Tardibuono was rewarded with a nomination to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Third Team after drawing the most difficult assignments against opposing teams in 2024. |

HALO's Award - Brigid Moriarty (Women's Volleyball) Honors the senior athlete who best represents Emmanuel with Heart, Attitude, Loyalty, Outstanding athletic ability and demonstrated success as a Student. CAREER SUMMARY: Moriarty played 69 career matches, totaling 187 over her three seasons with the Saints at the setter position. Moriarty finished her career with a breakout senior season, setting career-highs in assists, assists per set, digs, and service aces. She was a lead voice and advocate for the on-campus organization, The Hidden Opponent, a group focused on raising awareness for student-athlete mental health and breaking the stigma in sports culture. |

Senior Unsung Hero Award - Beverly Browne (Women's Cross Country & Track and Field) Given annually to a senior athlete who has exhibited leadership, dedication, and athletic achievement in quiet ways, which may have gone unrecognized throughout his or her career. CAREER SUMMARY: Browne was a three-year athlete for Saints cross country and track & field, competing across multiple disciplines as a three-sport student-athlete. Between indoor and outdoor track, Browne competed across 10 areas of both the track and field, including being the first women's pole vaulter in program history. One of the Saints team captains this season, Browne finishes her career as a three-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference Champion, winning outdoors in 2022 and 2023, and indoors in 2024. |

Senior Unsung Hero Award - Kyle Antoine (Men's Cross Country & Track and Field) Given annually to a senior athlete who has exhibited leadership, dedication, and athletic achievement in quiet ways, which may have gone unrecognized throughout his or her career. CAREER SUMMARY: Antoine finishes his career as a three-year athlete, running cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track for Emmanuel. Between indoor and outdoor track, Antoine competed in seven events across the track races, including a range spanning between 800 meters to 10,000 meters. One of the senior team captains this season, Antoine finishes his three-year run having raced in 29 total indoor and outdoor meets and 12 events in cross country. |

Perseverance Award - Alexis Sanders (Women's Basketball) Given annually to a senior student-athlete who has shown great determination in overcoming physical setbacks. Through hard work and dedication, this senior has been able to overcome the challenges set forth and successfully return to athletic competition. CAREER SUMMARY: Sanders appeared in 21 games for the Saints over her three-year career but a series of injuries as a sophomore and setbacks stretching into her junior year impacted her ability to return to the court. Her long-awaited return finally came on Jan. 31, 2023, in a 20-point win over Norwich. Sanders had missed the previous 35 games with her injuries and setbacks, finally checking in for the Saints after 384 days off Yosinoff Court. She finishes her career as a one-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference Champion after women's basketball claimed the 2021-22 title. |

Saints Club Award - Connor Pierre (Men's Soccer) Honors the senior athlete who best represents and exemplifies the spirit of the College's athletic program. CAREER SUMMARY: Pierre played three seasons for Saints men's soccer and made 51 appearances for the program, including 34 starts, primarily on defense, over that span. In his 51 appearances on the Saints back line, Pierre helped shutout opponents on 17 occasions. As a junior, the program set team records for the fewest goals allowed in a season (17) and the best Great Northeast Athletic Conference record in terms of points earned (5-3-4, 19 points), in program history. |

Saints Club Award - Emma Crisafulli (Softball) Honors the senior athlete who best represents and exemplifies the spirit of the College's athletic program. CAREER SUMMARY: Crisafulli played in 83 games in four seasons with the Saints, becoming a regular in the lineup and at first base as a junior in 2023. Of her 83 appearances, 71 came in each of the last two years. One of the team captains for this season, Crisafulli finished the year with a career-best .255 batting average, and career-highs in hits (24), RBI (22), doubles (4), and home runs (3). Crisafulli is a two-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Conference Team recipient after being voted to the Second Team in 2024 and the Third Team in 2023. |

Senior Inspiration Award - Sasha Hyacinthe (Women's Volleyball & Track and Field) Honors the outstanding senior athlete who best represents the graduating class in scholarship, leadership and sportsmanship. CAREER SUMMARY: Hyacinthe is a two-sport athlete at Emmanuel, spending her fall season with the volleyball program and her winter and spring seasons with the track and field squad. On the court, Hyacinthe appeared in 74 career matches and complied 223 kills over her three seasons. On the track and in the field, Hyacinthe competed in three running and four field disciplines. Hyacinthe finishes her dual-sport time at Emmanuel as a two-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference Champion, as the Saints won the outdoor title in 2022 and the indoor title in 2024. |

Senior Inspiration Award - Leonard Kim (Men's Volleyball) Honors the outstanding senior athlete who best represents the graduating class in scholarship, leadership and sportsmanship. CAREER SUMMARY: Kim appeared in 60 career matches for Saints men's volleyball, totaling 154 sets over that span. Kim was an all-around player, splitting time as a hitter and defensive specialist throughout his career. In his three seasons with the program, Kim amassed 125 kills, 174 digs, and 37 service aces. |

Senior Sportsmanship Award - Bryant Ciccio (Men's Basketball) Given annually to the senior athlete who has conducted his or herself in the highest manner on the playing field, including interactions with players, coaches, and officials. CAREER SUMMARY: Ciccio played three seasons for Saints men's basketball and had 67 appearances and 59 starts in that time. This season, Ciccio became the 10th player in team history to reach 100 career three-point field goals made, reaching the century mark on Jan. 27, 2024. Bryant is a two-time member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference team. |

Senior Sportsmanship Award - Lily Tobin (Women's Soccer) Given annually to the senior athlete who has conducted his or herself in the highest manner on the playing field, including interactions with players, coaches, and officials. CAREER SUMMARY: Tobin played two seasons for the Saints and made 37 appearances and 36 starts in that span. Starting at left back for the majority of her career, Tobin finishes her career with seven assists, including six in her senior season. She was named the team's Unsung Hero in 2021 and is a two-time member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-Academic squad. |
