SAINTS ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT HOSTS ANNUAL AWARDS NIGHT
The Emmanuel College Athletic Department hosted its Annual Awards Night and Dessert Reception last weekend, celebrating the Saints success during the 2012-2013 athletic seasons. Student-athletes, coaches, supportive families and fans filled the gymnasium of Emmanuel's Jean Yawkey Center on Saturday evening, April 27th, for the annual athletic recognition night. The event featured award presentations by the head coaches of each of Emmanuel's varsity programs and spirit teams, as well as major award presentations by Saints staff and administrators. Emmanuel's food service division, Bon Appetit, provided a delectable buffet of dessert selections for all of the attendees.

ALL-ECAC WEEKEND FOR EMMANUEL TRACK & FIELD
NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Emmanuel College Saints posted several incredible performances at the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at The Armory. Overall, the Saints collected ten All-ECAC honors and set five new Emmanuel records at the Championships.

SAINTS POST SEVEN ALL-NEW ENGLAND PERFORMANCES AT D3 CHAMPIONSHIPS
LEWISTON, GORHAM, Me. – The University of Southern Maine and Bates College played hosts to the New England Division III Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday. Emmanuel sent 14 qualified representatives to the championships, to compete in six events, including four different relays. The Saints excelled with seven athletes earning All-New England honors and three relay teams qualifying for the ECAC Championships.

SAINTS SHINE AT TUFTS STAMPEDE
MEDFORD, Mass. – The Emmanuel Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Teams competed in the Tufts University Stampede on Saturday afternoon. The Saints broke four program records, boasted three Division III New England qualifiers, an improvement on an ECAC qualifying time and notched 24 personal bests on the day. As a team, the Emmanuel men placed 15th out of 20 and the Emmanuel women finished 19th out of 24 competing programs.

TRACK TEAMS VOLUNTEER AT CRADLES TO CRAYONS
BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel College Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Teams donated their time this month, when the Saints volunteered at the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory. Founded in 2002, Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization, which collects new and gently used items for children of all ages and then creates and donates care packages for those in need. Through these efforts, Emmanuel student-athletes were able to impact the lives of many local children.

EMMANUEL TRACK & FIELD CRUISES AT USM INVITATIONAL
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Teams competed at the University of Southern Maine Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Gorham, Maine. The Emmanuel men rolled to a 4th place finish out of 10 competing teams, while the Emmanuel women placed 8th of 11 teams. Coach DaRocha also sent six Emmanuel student-athletes to compete in Boston University’s Terrier Invitational, which spanned both Friday and Saturday.

INDOOR TRACK & MEN'S VOLLEYBALL PARTICIPATE IN TEAM BLESSING
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College men's and women's Indoor Track & Field team as well as the Men's Volleyball team participated in a Team Blessing Wednesday afternoon in the Jean Yawkey Center Gymnasium at a blessing ceremony hosted by Emmanuel College’s Campus Ministry. Approximately 50 student-athletes and 20 Emmanuel College staff and faculty members were present for the third Team Blessing during the 2012-13 academic calendar year.

SAINTS RUN DOWN RECORDS AT BENYON INVITATIONAL
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Teams tore up the track with some excellent individual and relay performances on Saturday afternoon at Smith College’s Benyon Invitational. Sophomore Adam Julien (New Orleans, La.) posted a facility record time in the 400m, while both the Emmanuel men’s and women’s distance medley relays qualified for the New England Division III Championships. Overall, the Emmanuel men placed 5th/5 as a team, while the women placed 7th/9.

INDOOR TRACK TEAMS OPEN SECOND SEMESTER AT TUFTS INVITE
MEDFORD, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Teams opened the second semester of action at the Tufts University Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Saints 4x800m men’s relay team improved on their New England Division III Championship qualifying time with a new program record. Junior Nathan Bruno (Lenox, Mass.) and sophomore Adam Julien (New Orleans, La.) had standout days on the track, while nineteen other Emmanuel athletes recorded personal best performances.

SAINTS COMPETE IN BRANDEIS INVITATIONAL
WALTHAM, Mass. - The Emmanuel College Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Teams competed in Brandeis University's Reggie Poyau Invitational on Friday night. The Saints recorded twenty-seven personal bests on the night, along with two New England Division III Championship qualifying times, an ECAC qualifying performance and one new school record.

TRACK AND FIELD TEAMS OPEN INDOOR SEASON AT UMB INVITATIONAL
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Teams opened the winter indoor season at UMass Boston’s Invitational, which the Beacons hosted at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Adam Julien (New Orleans, La.) led the way for Emmanuel, as he raced to 3rd place finishes in both the 200m and 400m. His times of 23:04 and 51:47, respectively, were qualifiers for the Division III New England Championships in February.
