2022 Emmanuel College Athletics Senior Awards Announced
BOSTON, Mass. - The 2022 Emmanuel College Athletic Department Senior Awards have been announced, honoring a total of 17 student-athletes and three staff members.

Three Saints Voted to GNAC All-Conference Squad, Decker Makes All-Rookie Team
BOSTON – A trio of Saints men’s lacrosse players have been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference teams, as announced by the GNAC Office on Monday afternoon. Junior Derek DelVecchio (Saugus, Mass.) earned a First-Team selection, senior Samuel Burghardt (Gorham, Maine) was named to the Second Team, and junior Ryan Castle (Boxford, Mass.) earned a spot on the Third Team. Senior John Doherty (Leominster, Mass.) was also selected as the Saints representative on the GNAC Sportsmanship team.

Rivier Sneaks Past Men's Lacrosse in 2OT Thriller in GNAC Tourney, 10-9
NASHUA, N.H. - Sophomore Michael Ference (Salem, N.H.) netted the double-overtime game-winner to lift No. 3 Rivier University over No. 6 Emmanuel College, 10-9, in the 2022 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men’s Lacrosse quarterfinals played at Joanne Merrill Field in Nashua, N.H.

No. 6 Men's Lacrosse Set For GNAC Quarters Battle With No. 3 Rivier
BOSTON – After a strong finish to the regular season, the Emmanuel Saints men’s lacrosse program is back in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Playoffs, keeping a streak of consecutive postseason appearances alive, a feat that dates to 2012. After a 6-9 overall record, including 5-5 in the GNAC, the Saints have earned the No. 6 seed for the GNAC Quarterfinals. In their way is the No. 3 seed Rivier University Raiders, who claimed the third spot in the playoffs following a 13-3 season and 8-2 record in conference play. Emmanuel heads for Rivier on Saturday, April 30 for a 4:00 p.m. faceoff at Joanne Merrill Field.

BOSTON - An Emmanuel offensive outburst that saw the Saints score the first 15 goals of the game would end with EC taking the regular season finale victory, 17-3, over the Albertus Magnus Falcons on Wednesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action.

Men's Lacrosse Triumphant on Senior Day in 14-5 Win Over Anna Maria
BOSTON - A first-half offensive explosion of 10 goals, including six in the second quarter by the Saints, helped EC claim a crucial 14-5 victory over the Anna Maria AMCATS on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play. Prior to the start of Saturday’s game, the Saints men’s lacrosse program honored seniors Samuel Burghardt (Gorham, Maine), John Doherty (Leominister, Mass.), Cole Hallamore (North Easton, Mass.), Albert Lee (Albertson, N.Y.), and David Roa (Warwick, R.I.) for their contributions to the program in a Senior Day ceremony.

NORTON, Mass. -- Junior attacker Shane Ross (Hanson, Mass.) netted three goals and sophomore defender Jacob Wharton (Worcester, Mass.) caused four turnovers and picked up five ground balls to lead the Wheaton College (Mass.) men’s lacrosse team to a 12-3 victory over visiting Emmanuel College (Mass.) this evening at Nordin Field on the Wheaton campus in Norton, Mass.
