SAINTS CAPTURE TWO ROAD WINS; MACHADO TALLIES 1,000th DIG

The Women's Volleyball Team posted two big conference wins on the road this Saturday. The Saints rolled to 3-0 victories over both St. Joseph's College (ME) and Albertus Magnus College in a GNAC tri-match in West Haven, CT. Junior libero Amanda Machado (Swansea, MA) led the Saints with 19 digs in the two matches. Against St. Joseph's College, Machado tallied the 1,000th dig of her collegiate career. Machado is just the second player in program history to reach this milestone.
Junior outside hitter Lindsey Parker (New Bedford, MA) slammed down 8 kills in the Saints' win over the Monks, while freshman Megan Clary (Cumberland, RI) notched 7 kills in the victory over the Falcons. Senior Meagan McGivern (Merrimack, NH) and freshman Stephanie O'Neill (Tyngsboro, MA) combined for 11 blocks on the day. The Saints completed the regular season with 7 wins and 6 losses. The team earned the 7th seed in this week's GNAC post-season tournament. The Saints will travel to Nashua, NH on Tuesday night (10/30) to take on the 2nd-seeded Raiders of Rivier College in the quarterfinal match.
