EMMANUEL VOLLEYBALL TEAM TO PLAY AT PLYMOUTH STATE IN ECACs

The Emmanuel Women's Volleyball Team received a bid to the 2009 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) post-season tournament. The Saints are one of eight teams from the New England region, who will be competing for the ECAC Championship. Emmanuel is seeded 8th and will travel to Plymouth, N.H. on Wednesday (11/11) to take on the top-seeded Panthers of Plymouth State University. The match is slated to begin at 6:00pm.
Emmanuel was one of just two teams from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference to receive an ECAC bid. Johnson & Wales University, which knocked off Emmanuel in the GNAC semifinals, is the 6th seed and will take on 3rd-seeded Coast Guard.
The tournament's 2nd-seed went to Brandeis University. Then Judges will host the 7th-seeded Chargers of Colby-Sawyer College. The four/five match will feature the 4th-seeded Golden Bears of Western New England College hosting the 5th-seeded Gulls of Endicott College.
The Saints' last appearance in the ECAC Tournament came in 2003. Emmanuel also faced Plymouth State that year and the Saints were defeated by the Panthers in three sets.
The ECAC Division III Fall Team Championships will take place on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 with the semifinals and championship being held on the weekend of November 14th and 15th.
