Olsen Selected GNAC Rookie of the Week

Emmanuel's freshman setter Kathryne Olsen was selected the Great Northeast Athletic Conference's (GNAC) Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week on October 20th. Olsen has started at the Saints' setter in 21 of their 23 matches played. She is currently averaging 6.51 assists per set. Her GNAC honor came after the rookie led Emmanuel to a 3-1 week, dishing out 7.14 assists in her 4 matches played, while hitting .222 for the week. The Fairhaven, Mass. native also gathered 19 digs and made 4 blocks as the Saints went undefeated in conference play last week. Olsen now has a collegiate career total of 475 assists and 134 digs. She will be looking to help lead the Saints to the program's 4th GNAC Championship this fall.
