EMMANUEL EASES PAST SUFFOLK IN GNAC VOLLEYBALL

BOSTON, Mass. - Emmanuel swept visiting Suffolk University in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Volleyball action on Monday night. The Saints cruised to the three-set win, 25-13, 25-23, 25-16, and improved to 9-10 on the season and 5-1 in GNAC matches.
Junior opposite Stephanie O'Neill (Tyngsboro, MA) hit .333 for the match, laying down 8 kills in 18 attempts, while also notching 2 aces and a dig in the win. Senior outside hitter Lindsey Parker (New Bedford, MA) tallied 8 kills, while freshman middle Rebecca Stanton (Quincy, MA) chipped in with 6 kills for the Saints.
Senior libero Amanda Machado (Swansea, MA) led the defense with a team-high 10 digs. Sophomore defensive specialist Megan Clary (Cumberland, RI) added 7 digs in the win. Rookie setter Kathryne Olsen (Fairhaven, MA) dished out 25 assists for the host Saints.
Emmanuel will play again at home on Thursday night (10/16). The Saints will play host to the visiting Owls of Keene State College in a non-conference match beginning at 7pm in the Jean Yawkey Center.
