WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL TEAM KNOCKS OFF LYNX

BOSTON, Mass. - The Emmanuel Women's Volleyball Team won its eleventh-straight match on Thursday night, defeating the visiting Lynx of Lesley University in straight sets. The Saints took care of the Lynx, 25-23, 25-15, and 25-14, wrapping up the match in just over an hour. With the win, Emmanuel is now 13-4 overall, while Lesley fell to 4-10 on the season.
Sophomore Jenna Ross (Centerburg, Ohio) led the way for Emmanuel with 7 kills and 11 digs. Senior Nicole McAllister (Hampden, Maine) and freshman Samantha Andazola (Queen Creek, Ariz.) combined for 9 kills, 12 digs and 2 aces. Junior Megan Clary (Cumberland, R.I.) anchored Emmanuel's backrow with 11 digs, while sophomore setter Kathryne Olsen (Fairhaven, Mass.) totaled 18 helpers in the win.
Lesley's was led by Megan Ortwein's (Shanghai, China) 6 kills and 7 digs. Freshman outside hitter Kaitlyn Miller (Leesport, Pa.) had 6 blocks and 9 assists in the effort for the Lynx.
The Saints will travel to Willimantic, Conn. this weekend to compete in the Crabtree Classic Tournament hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University. Emmanuel will open the tournament with a 5pm start vs. Amherst College on Friday night.
