Bio

Katie Lapinski joined the Emmanuel College Athletic Staff in the summer of 2010 as an Assistant Coach for the Women's Volleyball Team. Lapinski will assist Head Coach Denitra Seals as the Saints look to win the program's fourth GNAC Championship.

Lapinski spent her collegiate playing career at Brown University. She was a two-time All-Ivy League player and set a number of Brown University records, including most career digs per game. She is ranked 2nd all-time in career digs and 5th all-time in career service aces. As a junior, she led the Ivy League with 5.68 digs-per-game, more than .75 higher than any other player, ranking 21st in the country in that category. That same season Lapinski was second all-time at Brown with single-season marks of 528 digs and 5.68 digs-per-game. Not only was Lapinski a standout on the court in 2006, but she was one of ten student athletes chosen out of 200 to receive the Academic All-Ivy Award. She captained the Bears team during her senior year and graduated from Brown University in 2008.

Before attending Brown, Lapinski played Volleyball at Maine East where she was named All-Conference as a sophomore and a junior. In 2001 Lapinski guided Maine East to a 2001 Conference Championship the teams first of the decade. Before joining the Saints' staff, Lapinski was the Head Coach for the Rhode Island Blast from 2006-2008. Lapinski taught 14-18 year old girls the fundamentals of volleyball, preparing them with various drills for tournaments throughout the year.

Lapinski currently resides in Brookline, Massachusetts.
