Women's Volleyball Falls in Straight Sets at Johnson & Wales
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Wildcats senior Peyton Oliver registered 17 kills in JWU-Providence's 3-0 win over Emmanuel (MA) College Friday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's volleyball action at the Wildcat Center. The Wildcats won 25-12, 25-21, and 25-22.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Peyton Oliver registered 17 kills in JWU-Providence's 3-0 win over Emmanuel (MA) College Friday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's volleyball action at the Wildcat Center. The Wildcats won 25-12, 25-21, and 25-22.
Oliver added four digs and three service aces as JWU improved to 9-9 overall and 7-1 in conference play. Classmate Sarah Miller filled the stat sheet with nine kills, eight digs, and two service aces while freshman Michela Voit notched 17 assists and four kills.
Sophomore Sierra Nausieda picked up eight digs for the Wildcats, who also received nine assists from freshman Kelsie Tretera, three kills and two blocks from sophomore Ajie Jagne, and four service aces from both Nausieda and freshman Ellie McLennan.
The Saints were led by sophomore Wiktoria Galazyn (Plainville, Conn.) who had seven kills while hitting .222 from the floor. Classmate Isabella Marquez (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) chipped in with six kills.
