In her only action last week, Carey scored a huge insurance goal in Emmanuel's 3-0 GNAC Quarterfinal victory over the University of Saint Joseph (CT) in the 2013 GNAC Women's Soccer Tournament. The rookie attempted a total of three shots, landing two on frame with the final attempt finding the back of the net for her third goal of the season to help the Saints advance to the Semifinals.
Atkinson led the Saints to a 1-1 week in non-conference action, averaging a team-best 2.88 kills per set while hitting at a clip of .354 for the week. This marks the fourth time this season that she has earned the Rookie of the Week honors.
