WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL NOTCHES SIXTH STRAIGHT WIN
BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College women’s volleyball team cruised to a pair of 3-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference victories this weekend, downing Suffolk University (27-25, 25-17, 25-19) and Anna Maria (25-15, 25-16, 25-10) at Reagan Gymnasium on the Suffolk University Campus. With the wins, the Saints stay perfect in the GNAC with a 6-0 mark and improve to 16-9 overall extending their winning streak to six matches.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College women's volleyball team cruised to a pair of 3-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference victories this weekend, downing Suffolk University (27-25, 25-17, 25-19) and Anna Maria (25-15, 25-16, 25-10) at Reagan Gymnasium on the Suffolk University Campus. With the wins, the Saints stay perfect in the GNAC with a 6-0 mark and improve to 16-9 overall extending their winning streak to six matches.
Against Anna Maria, freshman outside hitter Cassie Chruscielski (Duluth, Minn.) paced EC with 11 kills on 12 attempts to post an incredible .833 attacking percentage. The rookie also chipped in with nine digs and three aces in the win. Sophomore setter Shannon Dudley (Morro Bay, Calif.) dished out 30 assists to go along with eight digs and two aces while junior libero Cara Callahan (Medway, Mass.) collected a match-high 12 digs. Also notching double figures in kills was freshman middle hitter Kaitlyn Atkinson who finished with 10 kills on 17 swings.
The Saints hi .384 as a team and held the AMCats to a dismal .000 hitting percentage (16 kills, 16 errors, 79 attempts).
Against the host Rams, Atkinson recorded a team-high 11 kills while junior Sarah Colby (West Barnstable, Mass.) was right behind her with 10 kills in the win. Chruscielski added nine kills and nine digs while Callahan was clutch defensively with a team-best 21 digs.
During the Saints current six-match winning streak, the Saints hold an 18-1 set advantage against their opponents.
Emmanuel returns to action on Thursday evening when they head to Bristol, R.I. to take on Roger Williams University in non-conference action starting at 7:00 PM.
