Bio

Rachel Ball joined the Saints staff in the fall of 2021 as an Assistant Coach. Ball graduated from Springfield College in 2020 with a BS in Movement & Sports Studies as well as a Masters of Science in Adaptive Physical Education.

In her first season with EC, the Saints posted a program-record 20-game winning streak and topped the GNAC North Division with a 15-1 overall conference record.

Prior to joining the Emmanuel staff, Ball served as an Assistant Coach at Lesley University (D-III) and American International College (D-II) for one season each. She helped coach the Lynx to the NECC Championship game in 2021 and was with AIC during the pandemic shortened 2020 campaign.

During her undergrad years at Springfield, Ball was a four-year member of the Pride's softball team as an outfielder.  Over her career, Ball appeared in 116 games collecting 49 hits. She batted a career-best .320 during her junior campaign when she also was perfect in the field with a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Ball and the Pride won 99 total games over her four-year playing career, advancing to the NEWMAC Championship Series in 2016 & 2017 as well as a berth to the NCAA Tournament field in 2017.

Ball also serves as an Assistant Coach for the Polar Crush 18U National team

The Springfield grad currently teaches in the Needham, MA school system as an Adaptive Physical Education teacher.
