Conti Earns Second Straight GNAC Player of the Week Honor
BOSTON, Mass. – For the second consecutive week, sophomore Olivia Conti (Cranston, R.I.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday evening by the conference office. This marks the third time of her career she's earned the honor and the second this season.

Conti posted a 1.842 OPS as the Saints earned the No. 1 North Division seed in the GNAC Tournament. In a dominant 5-1 week, the short stop hit .609 (14-23) with five doubles and three home runs to go with 11 runs, six RBI and four stolen bases. Her third homer set the new Emmanuel single-season record for long balls at 11, breaking the mark set by former GNAC Player of the Year Yuleska Ramirez-Tejeda '20 from the 2019 campaign.
The Rhode Island native currently leads the GNAC North with a .470 batting average and a .913 slugging percentage with 11 home runs to top the division while ranking tied for second overall in the GNAC. Offensively, Conti ranks in the GNAC Top-5 in total bases (1st), slugging percentage (1st), doubles (1st), batting average (3rd), hits (4th), on-base % (5th) and runs (5th) while defensively she ranks fifth in total assists and sixth in double-plays turned.
Through 61 career games, Conti has batted .450 with 91 hits including 14 homers, scored 69 runs, driven in 44 RBI and stolen 24 bases over her career.
The Saints earned a first-round bye in the 2022 GNAC tournament as the top seed in the GNAC North Division after posting a 15-1 in-conference mark and will serve as the host site throughout the weekend. The squad returns to action at 7:00 PM on Thursday and will face the winner of the No. 2 Simmons vs. the play-in game winner which features No. 4 Rivier University and No. Saint Joseph's College (ME) later today.
