GAWRON EARNS SECOND STRAIGHT GNAC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK NOD
BOSTON, Mass. - Women's Soccer junior goalkeeper Lexi Gawron (South Hadley, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week for the second straight week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Gawron had previously been named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll on three occasions this season and this marks the second time of her career earning GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week honors.

Gawron was perfect last week for the Saints, posting a 0.00 goals against average over 135 minutes of work. The South Hadley, Mass. native collected eight saves on the week, stopping six shots in a 1-0 GNAC Quarterfinal win over Regis and two saves in a 2-1 win over Lasell in the regular-season finale.
The junior is having one of the best statistical seasons in program history, currently boasting a 0.66 goals against average and an .836 save percentage. Both currently lead the GNAC while her seven shutouts rank second.
Over her career, Gawron has played in 41 games with Emmanuel, posting 20 wins and 10 shutouts. She boasts a career .756 save percentage to go along with a 1.25 goals against average over 2,812 minutes of action.
The Saints are currently 14-5 on the season and return to action on Wednesday, October 31 when they travel to Newton, Mass. to take on No. 1 Lasell College in the GNAC Semifinals.
