CAREY PUSHES WOMEN'S SOCCER PAST RIVIER, 1-0
Nashua, N.H. - Senior forward Molly Carey (Swampscott, Mass.) scored the game's only goal to lift the Emmanuel College women's soccer team past Rivier University, 1-0, Wednesday evening at Raider Field in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action. Rivier now sits at 2-7-1 overall with a 0-6-0 mark in the conference while Emmanuel is atop the conference at 5-1-0 and 7-7-0 on the season.

Carey's goal in the 54th minute was all the scoring that the Saints needed. Carey was set up beautifully from junior Maggie Carey (Swampscott, Mass.).
Raider sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Goodspeed (Merrimack, N.H.) did everything she could to keep Emmanuel off the board. Goodspeed made 13 saves on the evening as Rivier was outshot 27-5 on the night.
Emmanuel sophomore Victoria Laroche (Hudson, N.H.) stopped both shots she saw on net for the complete game shutout.
Next up for Rivier will be another GNAC contest on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Mount Ida College for a 12pm kickoff in Newton, Mass. Emmanuel will also return to the pitch on Saturday as they host Albertus Magnus College in a 3pm GNAC kickoff.
