Bio

Kara DiBenedetto came on board the Emmanuel coaching staff in the spring of 2022 as an Assistant Coach for the Women’s Lacrosse program.  Prior to joining the EC staff, DiBenedetto served as an Assistant Coach at her alma mater Salem State from 2016 through 2020.

While on staff with the Vikings, DiBenedetto was involved with practice planning, team building, community relations, budgeting, and fundraising. She also stepped in and served as the Interim Head Coach during the 2019-20 campaign while the Head Coach was on materinity leave and was on staff for four consecutive appearances in the Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Lacrosse tournament. 

DiBenedetto graduated from Salem State with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. While at SSU, she was a member of the Women’s Lacrosse program for three seasons (2013-15). Over her playing career, she appeared in 22 games and earned 12 starts. She ended her career with 20 groundballs and caused two turnovers.

In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, DiBenedetto serves as a personal coach for CoachUP where she offers individual one-on-one coaching for youth players in Massachusetts. She's also served as a club coach for Coastal Lacrosse and been on high school coaching staffs at Triton HS and Wilmington HS while also coaching for Cape Ann Youth Lacrosse, Beverley Youth Lacrosse and Snipers Girls Youth Lacrosse. 

Outside of coaching, DiBenedetto has served as a High School lacrosse official under the US Lacrosse organization.
