Thomas Named GNAC Goalie of the Week After Wins Over Regis, SJC
WINTHROP, Mass. – After a pair of victories in the Saints goal this past week, junior Isabella Thomas (Miami, Fla.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Goalie of the Week, as announced by the GNAC Office on Monday afternoon.
WINTHROP, Mass. – After a pair of victories in the Saints goal this past week, junior Isabella Thomas (Miami, Fla.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Goalie of the Week, as announced by the GNAC Office on Monday afternoon.
Thomas went 2-0 last week, starting the schedule with a 16-5 win over Regis on March 26, coming up with seven saves in the win. On March 30, Thomas picked up another win with an outstanding second half performance in goal, keeping Saint Joseph's College scoreless in the final 29:21 of an 11-10 win.
For the week, Thomas made 13 saves and held a goals against average of 7.50. For the season, Thomas is 6-4 with a 10.90 GAA and 39.4 save percentage.
The Saints have won three in a row and put their winning streak on the line Tuesday evening with a trip to Anna Maria for a 5:30 p.m. faceoff.
