Brown, Wright Claim Major Awards Among Group of Several Saints All-Conference Honorees

WINTHROP, Mass. – Saints junior Delaney Brown (Agawam, Mass.) and sophomore Madeline Wright (Mattapoisett, Mass.) took home a pair of major awards from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), after being named the Defensive Player of the Year and Midfielder of the Year, respectively, as announced by the GNAC Office on Tuesday and voted on by the 16 head coaches of the conference.

BOSTON – Trailing by a goal heading into the fourth quarter, Saints Women’s Lacrosse (12-4, 10-0 GNAC) erupted for eight goals in the final 15 minutes to earn a crucial 20-14 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory over Colby-Sawyer (11-4, 7-3 GNAC) on Saturday afternoon at Clemente Field. The win secured the Saints’ spot as the GNAC North Division regular season champions with one game left to play prior to postseason competition.

BOSTON – In a battle between the two top teams in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), the Emmanuel College women’s lacrosse team (10-4, 8-0 GNAC) outlasted Johnson & Wales (8-4, 6-1 GNAC) to remain unbeaten in conference play with a 14-13 victory.
